Temple Studio is the dream come true of a music artist and also the expression of another passion of his: woodworking.
Located in the heart of nature, halfway between Quebec City and Jacques Cartier Park, this 200-acres wooded estate offers a unique space for creation and unlimited development potential.
At the foot of a steep mountain covered with conifers and hardwood trees, a small lake takes shape, its reflexion capturing the movement of the clouds in the sky and it’s mirror, the tree line.
In the evening, a camp fire will spread its embers up into the fresh forest air sharing the space with the fireflies, under a starry sky which extends to infinity.
Frogs, birds and the rustling leaves fill the soundscape, patiently awaiting the arrival of human voices and guitars.
In this space at the edge of the lake you will find the recording studio. It was entirely built by hand from selected trees to produce the necessary materials for its creation. The logs having simply moved from the surrounding mountain, contribute to the calm of this place.
The building is designed to create the maximum isolation from the exterior. The interior is entirely made of wood and acoustic treatment materials. Large windows overlooking the lake maintain our contact with Mother Nature and contribute to a stimulating creative ambiance.
For projects that require accommodation, you will find several “Bed and Breakfast” type of establishments along the Jacques Cartier River that can easily serve as a base camp.
Temple Studio is implicitly at a human dimension and could have been simply called “Marc’s studio ». However, since the place seems to have its own identity, the name has settled-in over time.
Two hundred feet north of the studio stands the home of a small family of artists who chose to leave the tumultuous life of world touring to settle in this peaceful forest of the Jacques Cartier Valley.
Marc, Linda, Gérémi and Nell promise you a warm welcome and good care during your stay with us.
