Conductor and bass player for 20 years for the Cirque du SoleilBand leader and bass player for 20 years at Cirque du Soleil, Marc has performed for more than 6,500 shows around the world touring in Japan, Europe, the United States and South America under the big tent and in renowned halls such as the Royal Albert Hall in London.
His participation in innovative technological projects such as the creation of a virtual reality product with Samsung VRmajor television shows such as The Late Show With James Corden in Los Angeles or the Wetten Dass in Duisburg, Germany, add to his ability to adapt quickly and ease under pressure despite complex creative contexts where musical structures change rapidly.
Marc had an early interest in sound and music recording from the age of 16 as bass player and singer in ‘a small group formed in his native Gaspésie. He also developed a deep connection with nature as well as a marked interest in philosophy, psychology and everything related to the function of the human mind.
Throughout his career he got involved in sound. Later on as a student in Montreal he worked part time as a sound technician at Cégep Ahuntsic.
He studied at the Cégep de Drummondville and completed a college degree in classical guitar as well as a degree in electric bass and double bass. Marc also has a bachelors degree in electric bass and jazz/pop performance at‘the University of Montreal.
